The RP-3 is built on the foundation of our cutting edge RP-X hardware and software platform. The RP-3 was designed to maintain near perfect signal integrity. In addition to computer optimized circuit topology, all of the capacitors, resistors and other critical parts are of exceptional quality assuring accuracy. The electrical design is based on pure class A tube amplification with mosfet output buffering to provide huge drive along with a super low output impedance.
In addition to great sound, the feature rich RP-3 provides all of the functions expected in a hi-end preamp. Included are a home theater bypass, processor loop, mono button, defeatable display, and slow start circuitry. A full function 10 button remote provides additional convenience. Two pairs of XLR balanced inputs and three pairs of RCA line level inputs allow for numerous source components while XLR balanced outputs along with two pairs of RCA variable outputs facilitate a wide range of output connectivity. Also included is a high power tube based headphone amplifier suitable for driving even the most difficult headphones.
The attractive industrial design includes an easy to read OLED display that further reinforces the preamp’s polished and tasteful appearance. The display provides all germane information in large easy to read blue characters. The metal high quality tactile buttons and knobs further add to the finished high-end feel of the RP-3.
